Crafting Your Wish List

Improving Yourself

Think of any medical issues, negative beliefs about yourself, needs that are not being met, mood, energy, or happiness issues. Now think of things that could be improved about yourself. This could be in terms of success, creativity, fun, attractiveness, or likeability. List anything you want to be better at.

Improving Your Relationships

Think of negative relationships you may have and what you’d fix about them. What would they be like if they were healthy? Things that often get in the way can be lack of communication, pride, jealousy, anger, and apathy.

Improving Things that are Normal

Think about the difference between what’s normal and what’s healthy. Lots of normal people are unhealthy. Is your goal to be normal, or is your goal to be healthy? Now think of the areas where you've accepted what you think is normal, and how you could improve them.

Improving Things You’ve Settled For

Think of all the problems that you have given up on trying to fix. Think about what kind of life you imagined when you are a kid, and compare it to now. Your wish list isn’t about what’s possible, it’s about what you wish for. Chronic pain, allergies, heart problems, vision problems; even if these things feel like they can’t be improved you should add them to your list.

Improving Your Impact on the World

Everyone wants to leave some sort of legacy behind when they go. In what way do you want to affect the world? What would that change look like? What are the steps that would bring you closer to that goal?

Examples:

Have enough energy to do daily tasks

Have more friends

Eat healthier

High blood pressure

Improve my eyesight

Feel less out of control

Anger

Apple allergy

Be more honest
